Donald Trump: Kamala Harris comments about Gaza war not ‘very nice’ to Israel

The former US president and Republican nominee Donald Trump said Kamala Harris's comments about Israel's war on Gaza 'weren't very nice' during a visit by the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Trump was reacting to combative speech by Harris after her own meeting with Netanyahu in which she said she would not be silent about Israel's war in Gaza.

Netanyahu said he hoped that Harris's comments did not signal a rift between Israel and the US. Netanyahu also said Israel was 'eager' to secure a ceasefire deal that would lead to the release of hostages held in Gaza.

Trump also took a question on his relationship with Netanyahu, in light of reports of difficulties between the leaders. Trump dismissed the reports, saying their relations had always been good, adding that Netanyahu's wife, Sara, was his 'secret weapon' in this respect. 'As long as I have Sara, that's all that matters,' said Trump

The way Israel has conducted this war has been disproportionate. Instead of 'defending' its a an actual attack on innocent civilians with a high loss of life and on Gaza's infrastructure destroying most homes, schools and hospitals. But the US and UK pander to Israel and this is not acceptable.

Israeli defence minister calling Palestinians 'human animals', this shows the amount of prejudice and dehumanisation by Israel towards innocent civilians. It's unforgivable. The public are rightly concerned and outraged so they are protesting. We will never forgive or forget what Israel has done and that they are root cause of the problem decades before Hamas came into power.
