Futhermore, the trio must make this trip in three lorries that have been bought 'sight unseen' from the internet for a limited budget. Unsurprisingly, they are not quite as the trio might have hoped or expected.

What follows is an epic journey of beautiful scenery, regular adversity, ongoing malfunction and the constant bickering of three badly dressed buffoons.

2:21 looks like the loud music triggered flashbacks for May when he got his stereo messed up in the teenage cars episode hahah

"Modern lorry drivers are crisp, and sharp." Best line ever if you sound it out in Clarkson's accent.

Hammond is the only one who's wearing the required south asian lorry driver uniform.

the ear-splitting bass combined with James' look of utter confusion and disdain is the purest form of comedy

Jeremy: Banging stereo.. Do you want to hear it?
James: No not really
*turns stereo on*

The reason why he mentioned it was built in either 1959 or 1976 is because it was probably bought from Thailand (those are thai lorry licence plates) and thai ppl count year in buddhist era
Both year translates to 2502 BE and 2520 BE respectively, so the seller probably confuses year 02 with year 20 somewhere along the line

"At this point, Hammond arrived, with a glovebox of strong pornography, and egg on his vest."~Jeremy Clarkson, 2014.

"James, your crane is too small!"
"He dragged that miserable insect all the way here, for nothing."

That was a great episode, a true classic to add to collection.

That intro by Jeremy Clarkson, he says "I've bought a Stereo a comb and I got a lorry included in the price" is something only he would say

2:55 "what is that? A lorry or a Hindu temple?"- James May. Best!

That shot of James when Jeremy's banging stereo is going is absolutely priceless.

It’s amazing how these lorries despite how bruised and battered they were they were able to make it all the way to the end.

I confess I miss the trio when they worked for the BBC. The Grand Tour stuff is good but the bigger budget seems to have sucked some of the magic away with it.
