I am someone who is a massive fan of Jurassic Park, and I recently just got back into the Lego hobby. I'm actually excited for this. I've been thinking about getting the T-Rex breakout diorama for a little while now and I think the dilophosaurus and triceratops sets would be great pieces to add to it for me personally.

I think that they didn't go bigger because they are really aiming for the young audience for dinos. The nostalgia though will bring the older crowd either way and inspire some mocs.

The visitor center should have been an 18+ D2C set. Disappointed they didn’t aim higher with this set.

Am I crazy or does every set have a frog? Maybe a throwback to InGen mixing dino DNA with frogs to complete the genome ?

Don’t know if you can tell or not, but Jurassic Park came out when I was 6 and it was / is the best movie ever made…I remember wishing it was a real island when I was a kid.

The Jeep/Nedry set for 20 bucks sounds fine for the amount of parts, but 40 bucks for the smaller Velociraptor set? No thanks. Also, the visitor center should have been a much bigger set.

Really feel like they dropped the ball with the visitor center… I’d of loved an 18+ set of that! They could have went proper all out like the Rex rampage set! Unlikely, but I’m praying for like a surprise release of something to that effect!!

That 4+ set is perfect for my soon to be 4 year old, but that price. Ouch. (Well all the prices are a bit on the high side minus the $20 jeep).
