Seems like some calisthenics people have dogma around adding weight to their routine. Personally I enjoy weighted calisthenics and calisthenics and they both can be trained together.

Glad I found your channel....I lost over 150lbs just using calisthenics took about 7yrs to do. But the last 4 yes I've gained 70lbs due to bad dieting and work schedule...but now I've been inspired

Been watching so many calisthenics related videos. I am a beginner, trying to get into calisthenics and get some fat loss. I have to say Austin and Browney are the most genuine people I have found and I m so grateful for them.

Harsh truth: all the record holders are big and heavy, so people tryna min Max their strength are approaching it the wrong way

Dude being tall has made advanced movements so much more difficult for me to get now compared to when I was younger haha. My legs are long ass levers

7:24 love this part here. Not every cali skill is for everyone.
I gave up hefesto because it hurts my biceps and wrists in the position.
One arm HS seems impractical to me too. My body just wasn't made for that.
I'm content with what I have now from muscle up, HS, FL, full planche and iron cross.

Wow... Thank you for putting this together and putting it on your channel. I've heard of calisthenics earlier this year and I've been looking forward to starting my journey on it and I'm super glad you gave these harsh truths, it's wisdom that'll probably better my journey and my approach to calisthenics

Hybrid is the way to go, it’s the evolutionary step in ballistic training, to become more explosive. I find YOGA to be another chamber many advanced athletes utilise.

For me I like to use a hybrid style of training, mixing both callisthenics and regular weight training. Best of both worlds. But defo having a specific body frame helps with learning certain callisthenics exercises or movements

Your last point reminded me of how many professional gamers also don’t really know how they got to where they got, or even the reason why they make certain decisions in-game, they simply played and were good at it and kept getting better until they became pros, sometimes without using their brains much. You also do have others who do take a more strategic approach to improving and getting to a pro level, the most important thing is to put in the hours.

Been doing calisthenics and weighted calisthenics for a year strictly and my physique really changed but I'm still not where I want to be but I'm better then when I started

The last tip is so true. People try to teach like step by step on how to learn some skills, but they don't know how they learned it.

This was awesome, good to see that someone who is really calisthenics focused is upfront and honest about the realities of it. Much respect for doing this video💪🏽💪🏽

Yeah A thing I am seeing a lot is That top statics calistyenics athletes use free weights to strengthen some particular muscles, And Also weighted calisthenics to increase strength

You should do a vid testing your max squat, since we’ve seen max bench, max weighted Pullup etc… before. It’d be a good one

Great video dude. That's the case with me, especially on learning muscle ups. I never watched videos how to do it, when I coulded do 10 normal pull ups without a rest, I just tried it and did it from the 3 or 4 time maybe without any tutorials whatsoever. Muscle ups are actually easy in my opinion, I don't know why people need specific programs to learn muscle up or 20 minite videos tutorials... But I admit that the more advanced hard excercieses need to be a little researched before attempting in order not to fuckk urselff up haha.
