Locker Nuts episode 736

We've been lucky lately, scoring some big $1 lockers and having fun cleaning them out. This time however, we paid up big; $1,050 for a tiny 5x5. That's a risky investment, and at first it seems like we are going to get hosed on this one... but then things turn up and we start finding some awesome stuff. This guy kept items for decades, and I don't think he ever intended to let it all go. Some of these boxes are real time capsules!

We'll be selling the best items from our purchases on Whatnot. The links are above to sign up and get a free $15 credit to spend, and here is the link directly to our next show. Join us for some live auction fun!

It's so nice to have Jana with you on this one. The woman is a Saint which she showed during your health issues. How can one man be so blessed? Survive a major heart issue, have a glorious wife, a loving family, a beautiful home, and a job that he loves to do. You should start seminars on how to be blessed. Love your work.

That guy is close to my age. He's a cutie pie and great taste in music and concerts. Aww, the 70s was a great decade. Thanks Jack and Janna ❤

Love all those LP's great tunes. I had a few of those growing up.

I grew up in SoCal and my graduating class was 1976. Funny thing, my 33 year old son loves that music too. I tell him he has an old soul. My mom and sister ended up in Sacramento for her job. I felt like I was seeing my old life. Good memories! I've lived on the east coast since 1980.

Man o Man, that rock band / concert stuff really brings back memories. I carted all my 70s stuff around for so many years and finally sold it all. Even all my Rocky Horror memorabilia but the Queen stuff was the hardest for me to part with. I went to so many concerts growing up near LA. Even got to see one of the Pink Floyd The Wall concerts. Great times.

Hey Jack, The Amity Lather tri-fold box at 43:05 had a bank key (the double pronged flat piece of metal ) It went to the little metal banks that your local bank would give you to collect change in (Nickels, dimes, & quarters). When it was full you took it to the bank and they would unlock it and empty it into your account, then give you the bank back.)

Hi LockerNuts! I think the object at 37:21 is actually could be a real World War 1 Iron Cross from Germany, But i did not know about that human figure was ever added to it. At least has to be checked out because real Iron Crosses are worth a few bucks. Depending on the condition and the rank of the Iron Cross (1st class, 2nd class) the value could be higher or lower. Or probably this is something from a rockband (some metal bands love to use the 'balkenkreutz' as their symbol).

My husband and I love to count "dangs" Jack. We never know if it's a bad dang (bin of books) or a good one (jewelry). We enjoy every one of your posts and wish you well from Montgomery, Alabama!

Hope you get into some good lockers this year. Faithful followers like us have gotten pretty spoiled over the last several years. It definitely has to be a two-edged sword to post your finds publicly, knowing that you are creating competitors. Wish you all the best. God bless

Bicentennial Kennedy half dollar is 40% silver. Those records brought back the memories, I actually have some of them from my younger days. I gave my daughter a big pile of them a year ago, she was thrilled to get them.

That Breeders Cup thing looked like a number pad/saddle cloth a horse wears during a race. I'd take a look and see if it's a custom made one with the horses name, maybe a champion caliber horse. Could be something or maybe not...if it's just a generic might be worth $50+. If the jockey signed it much more possibly.

That Chinese looking stand is, I believe a traditional style garden stool And as a child of the same age as the records owner I always put the record in the paper inner with the opening at a different angle from the cardboard sleeve so the record doesn’t fall out
