This is just the way the whole car industry is going. Build them as cheap as possible cars don't even last to the last payment without an issue.

Most Honda's are now made in the USA. When they were all made in Japan the build quality was much better.

Honda needs to take everything back to Japan. That’s what they did with the Honda Goldwing there quality went back up.

I have a 2013 Honda FIT. When I moved to Central Texas, I did a Google search for an Independent Honda/Acura mechanic. I found one that is like 25 miles away, but has great Yelp reviews. He is located less than 2 miles away from a Honda dealer. I literally drive PAST the Honda dealer to get to the independent mechanic.

My wife's still driving her 2007 Honda Civic she bought new. It now has 300, 000mi on it, this one was build in Ontario, Canada. She says she doesn't like the looks of new Hondas.

I used to be a honda salesman. Theirs a setting in the car to unlock the doors only at certain times. The options are putting the car in P. When you shut off the car. Or when open your door. People complaining don't even read the car manual anymore or even just explore the car settings

The lady with the accord with the door lock problem did not have a proper delivery. In the setting screen, she can customize how her doors and locks operate. She can also watch about 1 million videos on how to do it.

Cost cutting is going to bite you back by losing customers

Well, I can say that as an American living in Japan for the last ten years, Honda and the brand are very strong here in Tokyo. This sounds like a western approach to customer service, not the type of service you receive in Japan. In fact, I see cars here that aren’t even sold in the US and most spec’d towards performance and luxury. Honda motorcycles are also very popular as well, even the Tokyo Police drive them and their training is superb.

The reason for 10k or more for oil changes on a new car is to get the engine to survive until the warranty ends. All "recommended services" are this way. If you want your new car to last cut the recommended services intervals in half or more.

Most people aren't liking the looks of the new Accord.

You can turn the features off for the doors to unlock when you park your car by going into the settings

The lady on tik tok doesn't realize that you can adjust the locking features and unlocking features from your infotainment system. The 10000 mile oil change intervals is throughout the industry. Even your praised, Toyota Camery Has a ten thousand mile oil change interval. Here's another food for thought, Having a high bird engine, my odometer reached 5000 miles and was at 60% life left. This is because the engine is always trying to run off the electric motor. Thus, the gas engine is running less. However, I still change it at five thousand. Just because it is recommended by the manufacturer doesn't mean you have to follow it. I'm at 10, 000 with 40%. I will change it every 5000. I get this information from you, Scotty, and from other youtube channels. Too bad about their sales, Honda will have to make changes if they want to stay competitive.

Scotty is 100% right! I own a '17 crv where the trade in value is less than 10 grand. It would cost me well over 30 grand to upgrade. Even if I had the money to waste on the upgrade, the newer version has the same body, engine, and features! Why would anyone want to pay 30 grand to just have their info-tainment screen moved 2 inches up on the dash?

I don't let dealers touch my vehicles anymore. Not my Truck, not my bike, no way. Screw dealers. That reminds me I need to review my last purchase experience. Fasten your seat belt.

for the Accord unlock-doors when shifted to park: this is *optional* feature that can be set in the settings
From the owner<s manual of my 2018 Sports, Auto Door Unlock options are:
1-All doors when driver's door opens
2-All doors when shifted to park
3-All doors when ignition switched off
4-Off

I went to service my car for a o2 sensor.i could have done it myself but didn’t have the time.i told them the issue they said they still have to make an inspection and charge me for that. They changed the sensor but the problem continues I took it back and they said I had to change the whole exhaust system and that is was gonna cost me close to 5, 000 dollars. And that they offer financing. I was so pissed off because my cat had les than 80, 000 miles. And I always do the maintenance myself. I left and did the diagnostics myself and it was the the o2 sensor. It was not appropriate for the car.i don’t trust these dealer service centers anymore. I make sure I do a lot of research beforehand.

She got $700k for 3rd degree burns that laid her up in the hospital for a month. In the beginning all she was asking for were her hospital bill paid, but McDonalds said "no, sue us." So she did.
