Wow ! Hi Jordan ! - My Dad loved Nat King Cole - He was stationed in France during WW2 - On his weekend pass days he was in a french cafe bar drinking talking to the locals and a American GI pulled up out side the bar in a jeep ! - came in spoke to the lady owner - The G.I. went backout and brought in couple of boxes on contained a record player set it up in the bar and started playing music ! - Dad got talking to him and apparently the G.I. said the American Govt. sent the records over to them as a morale booster ! - It was the first time Dad had heard stereo records - And as I said before Dad instantly fell in love with Nats silky velvety voice !
Up until my Dad died My dad would play his Nat King Cole Records every Sunday morning while he prepared the veg for our Sunday dinner (Mom was a nurse worked on nights so Sunday morning she would have a couple of catch up hours - So thats why Dad prepared everything for dinner before going to the Pub !
Did not realise Nat was born 1919 same year as Dad - Dad died believe it or not but Dad died at 11oClock on -the 11th November 1993 - That date what would have been rememberance day !

I still remember that cemetery. Beautiful and peaceful place. I remember visiting Nat King Cole and other celebs along with some of my family members. Need to go back there soon as soon I can get get back to LA! Great vlog. Happy Happy Birthday!!

I love the intro and I believe that is what caught my eye and the reason I started watching your wonderful and informative channel.

What Nat had to go through in the '50s and '60s just tells us how far we have come and how ridiculous it is that people still think it is the '50s or the '60s, that no progress has been made, that they face today what others dealt with all those years ago. Society isn't perfect (and can never be because it is made up of human beings) but we are so far beyond those days that I just have to shake my head when people keep trying to tell me that it is still that bad. For whatever reason they want to keep it alive and because they do the wound can't heal.

Anyway, great vlog. I remember my father singing "O Tannenbaum" at Christmas time. I hope you and Jah have a very merry and blessed Christmas and good luck with your endeavors in 2021.

Seems like Nat King Cole died in 1965, right around when the civil rights laws took effect!There was so much hatred going around at that time! And sad to say, we still have not learned how to get along, especially when we have certain 'leaders" that should be Leading with respect to all people! Thanks Jordan!
