Garr was BRILLIANT in this movie. That scene near the end when she finds the note on the box of candy is pure genius on her part!

She should have won the Oscar for her performance in Tootsie

I love all of Teri Garr's scenes in this. Not only was she beautiful but hilarious. Every scene cracked me up. Even the simple little utterance she made while she was watching Dorothy's speech during the beginning of the reveal scene.

Teri Garr is just the most wonderful, refreshing and wholesome actress of her time. Just thinking about her lifts my spirit. How I wish I could have known her! I have a thousand questions!

My favorite scene in the movie. Especially the next line by Dustin, "okay, I'll pick you up tomorrow and enrage you."

I love Jessica Lange, but Garr deserved the Oscar. She was brilliant. I was baffled they chose Lange.

Perfect timing...really hard to get comedy timing right and still make it seem natural

RIP. I've watched this scene and the one in the kitchen 100 times. Perfection.

She really reminds me of Lisa Kudrow. She talks, sounds and acts the same. It's only right that she played as Phoebe's mother in "Friends". Actually they played as mother and daughter twice.

A long-forgotten actress. Young Frankenstein, Close Encounters, The Black Stallion, this movie, The Sting 2, Mr. Mom, Firstborn, After Hours. Since the mid-1980’s, she appeared here and there and had MS. And her birthdate remains a mystery. As early as 1946 and late as 1952.

Terri Garr is one of the very best actresses. Top 5 for me.

Teri revealed that she wouldn't go to the couch, ever, and it cost her many jobs in Hollywood.
Teri, you're the real deal . I didn't go to couch, either. At least we can live with ourselves . 💯💯❤️

Teri deserved the Oscar big time instead of Lange, she's the star of the movie.

What do I have to do? Hit you with a stick. I know every line in this scene and still love every second.

Michael Dorsey's eyebrows are plucked in the scene when Sandy is reading lines with him. This is before he even had the idea to audition for the role on the soap opera as a woman.
