"One blow to his shoulder unbalanced Tigerstar. He fell on his side, exposing his belly, and Scourge's vicious claws sank into his throat. Blood welled out as the smaller cat ripped him down to the tail with a single slash.
A desperate scream of fury erupted from Tigerstar, then broke out with a ghastly choking sound. His body convulsed, limbs and tail flailing. For a heartbeat a stillness settled over him, and Firestar knew he was falling into the trance of a leader who loses a life, to wake after a little while restored to strength and with the rest of his lives intact.
But not even StarClan could heal this terrible wound. Scourge stood back and watched coldly as Tigerstar's body convulsed again. The dark red blood kept flowing, spreading across the ground in a ceaseless tide. Tigerstar let out another shriek; Firestar wanted to cover his ears so he didn't have to listen anymore, but he was frozen to the spot.
Again the massive tabby's body grew still for a heartbeat, but again the wound was too terrible to yield to the healing trance. Another spasm siezed Tigerstar's body. His claws tore up clumps of grass in his agony, while his screeches turned from fury to terror.
"He's dying nine times, " Firestar realized. "Oh StarClan, no..."

I think the simplicity and brutal death gave the author the ability to make the reader get the chills. A terrifying, multi-lived leader, going down in agony after a single claw stroke. The short, silent death with the fearful leader, and they didn’t even go down by the one we had thought would do it.
That is a rare ability that author has. To understand exactly the tension and thoughts of the reader, then to distort those feelings into the most chilling and interesting moment ever. That is what I dream to have. The true ability to know your reader and know how to warp it.

When I think about this part, I can’t help but feel bad for him. No one should have to suffer that kind of pain, even if they deserved it.
Sure some topics in warriors are for older audiences, but i read this scene at 9 years old and I was too young to actually see what was going on. This book is good at having things come into a child’s ear and leave from the other. Now that I’m older the things hit even harder and make the book much more better

While there are still gruesome deaths this one was so descriptive. It gave you the ability to imagine it easily and know exactly what tigerstar felt

When I read this part, I kinda skimmed over it because I was legit scared, I know Tigerstar was a villain, but no villain should experience this.
This is probably the worst if not one of the worst scenes for children in warrior cats.

If this ever came a movie it’d be in the 3 books of the first series, everyone talking about Tigerstars death but I think the animators will let everyone hear Tigerstars screeching and raged breathing, but the screen will be on the cats: Firestar, staring at Tigerstars in horror, Darkstripe whimpering, shivering and the rest of the cats in wide astonishment, leave a like if u think it’s what could happen!
