Back again looking for cheap sleeper cars that you shouldn't race against? Cars that have insane performance but look boring? Sleepers with insane performance? Look no further, as in this video, I run through 5 cars that those of us who love cars know are massively quick, but people outside of our circles would never know how fast these cars really are.

Volvo V90 T8 is probably my favourite one on here to be honest, although my local police force have the V90s as unmarked cars, so you definitely don't want to try racing one in case it's actually the police lol

Lexus GS450H is the old man’s car with teenager’s mental attitude. Everything changes from sedate to mental if you switch on the power and hybrid buttons. This lowers the suspension, tightens the steering and acceleration is way faster off the line. I love my GS450H.

My favorite sleeper is the S60R

If I were to build a sleeper, I would buy an XC90 V8, and tune the engine (maybe add a supercharger) but keep the body stock, with the exception of a spoiler lip

I would also prefer tuning a diesel car (specifically if it has the 1.9 TDI) because it is highly inconspicuous

My favourite car was a subaru legacy turbo estate. Impezza power, engine, drive train and handling in what looked like a family estate. Drove away from a lot of sports cars on country roads :-)

Volvo 850 T5 estate - even as standard they can embarrass a lot of new cars but with mild tuning, they are absolute animals!!

The Stinger GTS is a real bargain bucket for what it is. If you don't mind the kia badge your getting a newish performance saloon with great reliability and practical luggage space. All whilst being at a low price.

Others have mentioned the 850 T5, I would also add the jag xfr, absolute beast that most take as a normal jag xf

The T8 newest version of system has 455bhp. It allows s90 to reach 0-100km/h in 4.7 sec. Key issue with new Volvos no matter how powerful they are top speed limited at 180kmh gps. New 455bhp system can be found in xc60 (4.9 sec to 100) s60/v60 (4.6sec.) and even xc90 (5.4sec).

2.0 TSi Sciroccos are also generally underestimated, mainly because there are so many 1.4 petrol and 2.0 Diesel versions around

You missed my car from your list. Skoda Superb Estate 280 4x4 in L&K trim. A really practical Dad's Q car with a huge boot. As a stock car it's no slouch with a 0-60 in 5.3 secs. Add a stage 1 remap (Revo in my case) & you get circa 360BHP & sub 5 sec 0-60 while still being able to bring the flat pack furniture home from Ikea. The only thing visually that's different to a more humdrum petrol or diesel model are the two low slung exhaust tailpipes. It's becoming a sought after model which is why I'm hanging onto mine.

My favourite sleeper is a cupra ateca for a qashqai sized SUV that does 0-60 in 5 seconds and can get it with blue leather makes it an amazing car
