Big BYD battery in a Korean SUV! KGM Torres EVX review

We check out the KGM Torres EVX, a new electric mid-size SUV from KGM, the brand formerly known as Ssangyong. This thing looks a little odd, but packs a huge BYD battery pack, acres of space and a sharp price tag.

Surely the key blade is to get into the car from the outside if you have battery failure to gain access for recovery and maintenance . Some vehicles have a cover over the drivers door handle to remove for access with the key blade.
I had to use the blade key to get into my Jag EPace when the battery failed to open using the fob buttons .

Still worth it at $45k in nz? i am in the market, still waiting for decent SUV's to come in the ev space with competitive pricing, its this or the leapmotor c10 . new model Y works out to be $85k

The mechanical key would be used to open the doors if your 12 volt battery is dead. You will be able to insert key into door lock and open door, then hood to get to battery. My GWM Ora has a similar key in fob. Same as Ice cars.( If you read your Byd Atto 3 Manual, page 50 your
car also has one in key fob!!)

This is surprisingly expensive in the UK. It's only just cheaper than the Model Y and nearly £5K than the Skoda Enyaq.

I like it a lot. It not only offers plenty of space and a decent sized battery for a good price, but also a massive warranty: 10 years or 1 Mio. km (at least in some markets)!

Big cargo spare is great but only if the load limit match it. I have tried and drive the car and i was very dissipointed with it. Seats av are so small not made for men above 180 cm . And the safety belt i could not get over my shoulder. Slow menus Inside, no hooks too Secure luggage and other stuff. The car feels alot like something that came out 4 years ago.
