Enter the world of promotional food items turned legend as we look at the coveted McRib barbecue sandwich from McDonald’s and learn where and how it was made. Learn how the McRib was made in an emergency to satisfy a chicken shortage. Also learn how the McNuggets were created as well by McDonald’s first executive chef, Rene Arend.

Thank you all for the support so far and I love doing these documentaries. Enjoy!

Dude I'm glad you set the record straight on this. And for the record the French fries are 100% frozen potatoes fried in vegetable oil and salted, and the Burgers are 100% pure USDA grade A beef. If McDonald's tastes terrible in your area you need to look at the people making it.

I always loved the McRib. McDonalds always had a reputation for bad quality food but it’s actually the opposite. Their food is a much higher quality than a lot of restaurant supply companies like Sysco or Dennis. Also, on the whole, McDonalds are much more sanitary than any privately owned restaurant.

Great series. Can't wait for the Lobster Roll documentary. Keep waiting for them to bring it back but I'm losing hope.

Honestly I’d say at this point just make the McRib a normal menu item since I’m sure by now it’s popular enough to sell well.
