I have been studying biochemistry for years, and I'm struggling to appreciate the depth of thought that went into this series. I'll likely be rewatching this for years to come. Thank you Dr Tour. God bless you.

I hope Tour sees this, the main thing missing in all of this is PURPOSE, nature had no end goal, no intention to produce a living cell, it started off with the periodic table and somehow managed to produce the most complex machine we know, but somehow it didn’t manage to produce something much simpler like a wooden chair with four nails or a wheel chair or a mobile phone !!! No one has ever answered this question.

The Chemistry is so far above my head. However, you have proven that creating Life is way beyond the realm of mankind. I'm glad your are asking these questions. ie. if it's so easy why hasn't anyone created/copied the simplest living cell? Your point of there being facilities far more advanced than what was/is available to nature as well, as actually having a target. Should be the end of "The Story"

Why was this titled "A Course on Abiogenesis" when it didn't go over abiogenesis hypotheses and findings at all? All it did was quote-mine a few science papers to misrepresent abiogenesis research, offer a few really silly strawman arguments (i.e look at all the parts of this car! How could it put itself together?) and serve as a platform for your own personal incredulity.
