IU - Strawberry Moon

June's full moon, dubbed the "strawberry moon" due to its pinkish colour, is a favourite of photographers and millennials. While summer has come to an end, Korean singer IU is still dreaming about the wonderful pinkness of the strawberry moon in her latest single, which was released on October 19.

Strawberry Moon is the follow-up to the 28-year-March old's album, Lilac, and its singles Celebrity and Lilac.

IU gives the tune a fanciful feel, singing about a fated meeting and comparing it to a scoop of strawberry ice cream, with plenty of references to the hue frequently seen during June's full moon.

The summertime tune soars with the singer's dulcet tones and supporting instrumentals and is light, relaxing, and rather straightforward sonically.
Strawberry Moon, which was released just a few weeks after IU celebrated her 13th year as a singer in September, is the perfect aural expression of who she is and where she is in her career. IU is one of South Korea's biggest performers, and her music and acting are both refreshing and consistent (she most recently acted in 2019's Hotel Del Luna, which is presently trending on Netflix in Hong Kong).
In a world that feels so hectic, all you want to do at the end of the day is put on something like the sweet-toned Strawberry Moon.
