The wait is over. After wanting an affordable option to play 2600 games on the go, it is finally here. Is the product worth it, or is it something to avoid? For this review, I purchased at full retail price unit. In this video, I go over both the pros and cons of this highly anticipated device. I would like to thank the members on Atariage for thier contribution to diccuss and support this device, as it helped me with this review.

I'm glad that you don't turn your nose up to stuff like this. Most collectors would scoff at it but I like this kind of stuff cause it keeps retro alive. These flashback consoles, and famiclones aren't perfect, but they get the job done for casual and seasoned gamers alike.

Good Review. This looks like a decent product. Only thing I would wish for is multiplayer, since atari was my favorite multiplayer game console(Love me some warlords!!!)

Total agree about Popeye, I grew up first playing it in the arcades then I have owned and played all the console versions. This along with Moon Patrol and Q-Bert. Great video

Great video John, I just played Millipede with my little boy yesterday on our old tube TV. It was a great time. I am going to have to look into getting one of these and getting some roms, he would love to have that as a gift.

Popeye is one of my most favorite games. It's very hard and available for nearly all platforms. The 2600 version is a special gem.

I have the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive plug n' play console that showcases so many awesome games!!

I am now quite interested in getting this as I am a huge handheld gamer and was always curious about the Atari era gaming

at least they gave an SD slot, but I'll stay old school on the original hardware.

John, I was just in Tampa and picked up an Atari Flashback 7 Special Edition with wired controllers and I checked and it does have Space Invaders and Jungle Hunt. I guess I got lucky on that.

i need one of these and still need one of the flashback home consoles. prices aren't bad especially if picked up second hand. wish atari would get around to some newer titles like with xbox not just repacks of old titles should cover the new xbox one/ps4 titles

Or if your like me and have Atari games on compilations.Like the PSP for example got Atari Classics Evolved which has most if the Atari arcade games and the Atari 2600 GAMES.It also has Evolved mode and you can play PSP versions if Atari classics.Gameboy Advance got Activision Anthology which has the Activision Atari games on it, its another good compilation.
