Dear all,

Kindly look at this situation objectively. Whether the exam gets postponed or not is not under our control, but what is under our control is our preparation. If we are going to assume it will get postponed, chances are that our preparation will get affected by it. It will slow us down and give an uncertain feeling about the result of our efforts. If you are going to prepare feeling 100% sure that the exam will happen on the 31st, you will make the best use of the next 46 days, than otherwise.

The situation you don’t want to be in is, prepare thinking it will get postponed and the exam is conducted on 31st May.

If upsc conducts cse prelims even on 31st december honestly we are going to feel the same stress in exam hall 😆😆😆😆.

Why everyone keep saying that, lockdown has removed all the distraction. It hasn't.
There is a lot of psychological stress due to lockdown.
It's also true that even in worst case scenario some 12000 will qualify for mains, but it's not that their preparation have not affected.
2. It is highly unlikely for situation to become normal enough to allow pan India movement of students as well as teachers and police forces (they provide security).
3. And if that happens, God is really merciful. Because we have much bigger problems than UPSC CSE postponement dilemma.

I am honestly in panic right now, my university exams for final sem was supposed to happen in early may and now we have no datesheet or any updates about it, same upsc too if they want to take the exam on the same date then please they should announce it right away, this uncertainty is well panicky.

Sir, schools are closed in punjan till 30th June, I'm odisha till mid June and in Delhi till early June.

What does that mean.

Dear sir with respect of your long experience .I want to say upsc must think about that whether its glory matter or the problems before Nation matter there are so many candidates like me who r at home instead of their studyhostels and careing their elders because some candidate dont have more working hands at home

He is motivating us to prepare well instead of assuming the exam will be postponed which can cause slackness. Obviously exam will get postponed but prepare in a way exam won't get postponed, as simple as this. Why are many fools talking bad about this Gentleman

Health and economics is top priority for government .
What if a candidate is affected by corona at the time of exam ? Or his family is affected ? Isn't he/she will quarantined, right to life, movement is affected ?

Why UPSC is so hell-bent on taking the exams on the tentative date!! It might be just another exam for them, but for us it is like a very imp event. One whole year of preparation and one month of a disturbance at this crucial time could put the whole year in trouble, which is actually happening. A lot of us are stuck somewhere without our complete resources. And appearing for exam in such a way would make us more jittery only, we won't be able to perform at our best which could be devastating for us.

Rubbish... There are 450cases in Jaipur how upsc will conduct examination in rajasthan almost all district have 20 + patients how is it possible then... Raj govt will open schools ND colleges in July clearly stated by govt

See sir, lockdown has put many into a situation having no books, say I was informed ganatha cerfuew just for 14 hrs, assuming 14hr, I been to my home town for a day, , n I'm locked down from then, having no books..

You so ruthless in saying lockdown cleared all distractions..

Issue is for first timers like us

Let's say the exam will be held on August then there's no point in doing McQ now but some answer writing would be beneficial instead

Senior players won't suffer much but first timers will in the long run .

Clearly UPSC will postpone this year's prelims ...I don't know how he says... personality test for 2019 UPSC CSE exam yet to be finished ...before completing the previous year cycle how come you think UPSC will conduct this year cycle 🤔 ....what u said regarding distraction is perfect ..

Whether i want to get Community certificate even before applying for upsc examination. (I already applied for exam well before closing date with old certificate) bcz getting community certificate is not easy task. I write many exams.. why I need to provide new community certificate for all exam.. plz clear my doubts sir

No one can say in negative untill and unless there is notification by the upsc itself and that's what this channel is also belongs to India and works for nation building
I hope health well being is more important for upsc rather than calender.Moreover monitoring the pandemic curve will be crucial....if it shows the signs of flattening ...exam will be on 31 of which chances seem to be only 20%.
