US election 2024: Harris' 1st campaign interview sparks reaction over policy positions

Reactions are pouring in after U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris' first major interview of her presidential campaign.

In an interview on Thursday, Harris defended shifting away from some of her more liberal positions, but insisted her “values have not changed” even as she is “seeking consensus.”

Former president Donald Trump described the interview as "boring." The first debate between Harris and Trump is less than two weeks away and the latest polling shows a tight race.
