Something about Miles's mother in Earth 42 is different. She almost seems like a much more passive person. Almost like the death of her husband just made her give up on managing Miles and allowed Aaron to take control of his life.

God the buildup in this scene is absolutely beautiful. From Rio’s subtle confusion, the design of Miles’s room, the camera work with the different universes hiding the room ever so slightly, even the music. Everything hinting something is wrong from the very beginning

I notice he's in the wrong universe when his mom mentions comic-con. In miles universe, comic-con doesn't exist, hence the confusion 2:49

This scene completely fooled me. I didn’t realize something was wrong until the eerie music kicked in. The subtle details within were what really freaked me out, especially the lighting of Miles’s room. The use of green and purple, classic Disney villain colors, was incredible.

I love the running gag between movies where miles’ universe doesn’t have Comic-Con. I hope in the 3rd he bursts out at someone “WHAT THE HECK IS COMIC CON ALREADY”

I love the detail they go into for the clothes. Miles 1610 and 1048 (Insomniac) have a red and blue jacket, while Miles 42 and Aaron 1048 have purple jackets.

If you're confused, I'm saying their clothes are signifying who they are. Red for Spider-Man, purple for Prowler

Even though this movie is depressing. How serious miles was to his mother revealing his biggest secret and his mother didn’t get it and how she said. Spider man. Is just funny.

I love all the subtle indications that Miles is in the wrong universe:
- His purple and green jacket, the colors of the Prowler
- Rio's mention of Comic Con, which his universe doesn't have
- Her asking about his hair, since he has braids on Earth 42
- Her speaking Spanglish, which she criticized earlier
- Her discomfort at Miles' mention of his father

I’m glad to at Rio and Jeff are partners in their marriage and Rio doesn’t undermine or condescend him but respects him.
