I am holiday this week. Staying at a little cabin in the woods in a place called Starcroft Farm Cabins near Battle in East Sussex. It's such a lovely cosy spot, a bit like one of these mobile homes.

A compromise between a caravan and a country cottage, this new mobile home has been developed by an English firm which has specialised in making railway carriages for over a hundred years. Made largely of aluminium and cedar wood, there's virtually no repainting to be kept up. In fact, designer Eric Franks has taken labour-saving comfort as the key note. Two models are under way - the Mobile Home and one for Motel use. With 2 bedrooms, prices complete range from £1200 to £1700.
