EDIT: The US Bank Altitude Go gets 4x back on DINING, not GROCERIES. It can make a great dining card for the right person!

RJ is honestly a dude I’d want to catch a beer and have a talk with. Down to earth, open-minded, and funny! The collabs you’ve been having on the channel have been great - keep them up!

#TeamCashBack (but right now I do have a hotel stay planned in July, so team travel momentarily)

When you shift the model to overseas, the choice is clear. Capital One leads the way.

That 10% cash back on uber eats from savor one right now is no joke.

UPDATE: The Altitude GO gets 4x back on DINING instead of groceries as we mentioned. It could make a great dining card!

RJ is on all the heavy hitters. Citi Custom Cash, US Bank Cash+, Freedom Flex, Discover IT, Ink Cash, Business Voice. Strong 💪 teamwork, lots of options.

For me, the most useful place for cashback cards are monthly bill payments (i.e. utility & streaming subs), bc once you set it up, it's pretty much automated. I just set up my US Bank Cash+ to pay my utilities every month and I'm guaranteed to get 5% back on my utilities every month with no work. Sure, it's better to pay them back with a card that you're working a bonus offer towards, but it's just too much hassle for me.

Citi allows you to convert any no AF card to the Citi Custom Cash [CCC] card. That's how I got 2 CCCs. I got my 1st CCC in 2021 when it was launched. This year, I converted my Citi Double Cash to Citi Custom Cash.

Fun video Spencer! I love it when credit cards are put on the board like a game, because let's be honest, it kind of is haha!

I looked up the AAA Daily Advantage. He said it is capped at $2500 per year, but it literally says on the screen that the cap is $10, 000 per year. Perhaps he meant $2500 per quarter.

Even though I’m all in on Amex and Marriott I put all my groceries on the Blue Cash Preferred. That 6% on groceries combined with the $84/year Disney plus credit easily clears that $95/af. I max the 6k in groceries per year easily.

Totally respect people who prioritize cash-back, and there is definitely some validity to prioritizing that route. I personally just love Travel and really want to travel internationally, so getting that upside value for some of those travel experiences, especially some cool First-Class Flight redemptions is definitely something I want to prioritize. Really interesting to hear RJ's perspective on how he travels and why it doesn't make as much sense. Great collab Spencer & RJ!

I love how credit cards can cater towards both cash back OR travel / points focused customers. This was a solid example of setups that would work for cash back focused people.

Stop the BS, RJ. Go deposti $50 in a few regional banks and keep opening Max Cash Rewards Cards (US Bank Cash + Clones). 5x all the things.

I’ll check RJ out now since I am definitely cash back 👍.

Great video Spencer, as usual!! I’m a beginner, I wonder for grocieries & gas if the citi custom cash is the better (to have now) than a sapphire preferred (to have in the future) when the ultimate goal is to stack points for traveling, or the equivalent of saving money for travel. What are your thoughts? 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Great video! I’m currently team cashback myself as RJ said with starting out with not much and cashback helps you out a lot. Looking to be doing more team travel too, but probably in the middle or still close to cashback still. Love the content per usual.

I always enjoy seeing an RJ and Spencer duo video. I wonder what the game would show for team travel, maybe run a round of 2-3 travel times vs 5-6.

A possibility, what about using the 5X back Gas or Grocery cards to buy gift cards to pay for other categories. Like say you eat Wendy's a lot. Get a big Wendy's gift card at the gas / grocery store at 5X. Also other prepaid cards to pay for other this like T-Mobile service, etc. A possibility perhaps.
