Straws might not account for that much pollution but when there are millions of straws in the ocean and sea animals are dying from ingesting them, that is a problem. If you don't like paper straws then you should try metal straws, they are great for drinking, the most sustainable, and you can get rubber toppers so that you can still chew on them. Glad that you are thrifting though, that is great for the environment.

I love what you said about straws in the beginning. People flip out over them but don't realize that major corporations are the cause of the majority of pollution in the world. They're the ones who have to do the most to make change. Also, great haul! Loved it 💜💜💜
