There's a certain melancholy to this song that overcasts the blood and thunder of the lyrics: like the singer knows of the immensity of time & the short time humanity spends on earth, but is still willing to go out & experience what they can before that journey to Valhalla truly begins. I think you capture it really well.

That makeup is amazing too! The central symbol looks like the Ægishjálmur, which is a cool link to Icelandic lore. I've always felt that tribal makeup of the far north had a universal power beyond modern notions of states & nations, speaking to an ancient humanity. Beautifully applied!
