0? Because the 56 has the 6 next to it so the first digit in the top one gets to 7? 3=0, 4=10...then so on up the list until the 5 in 56 can go from 5 to 7 so it follows the 6 in the 56 to get to that 7?

I solved it in 3 seconds, 9 (*8)= 72
8(*7)=56
Than 3=3(*2)

correct answer is 9, if you have 4 then 6, but you dont have 4, and you eqation is wrong - a1 = a1 x (a2 - 1) --- 3 = 3 x (4 - 1) = 9.
