I heard the speech in full, the thing that hurt the most is probably that not only was all true, but it was accompanied with actual examples.
Still, living in Europe I can tell the problem is we are ruled by a bunch of self appointed bureocrats who do not give 2 f... what the people want or need. They live a life of luxury while decadence eats everyone else alive.
Case in point, if Trump says NATO members must pony up 2 or even 5 % of their GDP in defence... did you think they are going to even think about "tightening their belt"??
Think again! .. Fear not! Jackpot! Alelyua! Take those deficit control rules away! warm up the money printers like in the good old COVID times!

I'm English and I thought the Vance speech was brilliant. Starmer is a communist dictator and so is von Derleyen. Zelensky had the chance for peace early on but thought he might like a new yacht and a couple of mansions etc
