When he says POOR, he really means middle class that over spend & dont save. They live from paycheck to paycheck...
Or you can look it at it another way. 2 people making the same income 100, 000 a year, one who spends everything, no savings. The other one lives off of 35, 000 a year & saves the rest. So the one that doesnt save his money is poor & the other one is rich, not wealthy but rich in managing his $. He'll be very rich if he did save the same amount for 30 years & open up successful businesses.

This is not a comparison between rich and poor. It's a comparison between someone frugal and someone with poor spending habits.
The truly rich spend money extravagantly.

Honestly, If I were rich I wouldn't want people to think or know am rich because I could become a target; so it would make sense to not buy things that would give that impression.

I feel like you're overgeneralizing. Not all "rich" people are super frugal and not all poor people spend money frivolously. Many poor people are frugal, and many "rich" people like living in expensive homes (partly because of the better school districts they're in), driving nicer cars, and wearing nicer clothes.

bru where i live "poor" people drive cars from the 80s that probably cost less than 800$, but not monthly. Same goes with housing, they'd usually live in a 350$ flat.

I might be the odd one out but there are a lot of rich people that have expensive cars, houses, clothes, go on expensive trips etc. I’ve never seen a poor person do that. You can’t be poor and have luxurious items. How would you be able to afford it? Plus if you are poor most likely your credit isn’t good so who will give you a car loan for a 100K car? When so called poor people buy name brand they often get it on sale, save up for it, get it as a gift or buy it from

Ur assumption is somewhat wrong, majority of rich people are insanely rich, say 10 perc and among them, majority of lives in luxurious houses and have Benz Audi's Lamborghini etc . People who are in the process to become rich, they limits their spendg, and poor people not bothered about money, spent insanely . It depends . But majority rich people, they are fond of richness and luxurious item . Around 10 perc are insanely rich, they don't care about money, and rest say 20-50 limits their spending and invest becz they want to get into that 10 perc .
