if our civilization is ever wipped out this along with the pyramids will still stand for thousands of years. People/ beings wont know the story behind the mysterious faces. All knowledge of it will be lost. Those children of the future deserve to know how and why this was built. There needs to be a time capsule to perserve the knowledge.

I didn't even know Jefferson was on Mt Rushmore!? I only new him from vaigue history textbooks and from Hamilton the musical

If I told you : Rushmore ? What would you say ? Maybe Dakota, Rapid City, Jefferson, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Washington or even Cary Grant, North by Northwest but never a word about Gutzon Borglum ! The most unknown celebrity ever !
