Funny thing is my family and I found out 1 thing one of our cats likes more than cardboard boxes a large pillow wich we intended to be used for our sha-pai.
Our cat absolutly refuses to give up that pillow unless they can sleep next to me or my sister.

not sure if there's any truth to this.. but i believe that due to all th sencitive hairs all over their bodies, box's allow the over-stimuli to reduce.. allowing them to 'wind down' as such.. a little like closing your eyes in a bright room, to reduce light
