I don't care if there is a bezel at the top. I'd rather have dual stereo speakers top and bottom with minimum bezels than no bezels. The Xperia 1 is good as far as I'm concerned. Everybody trying to go bezeless just because.

Google is not about design, they’re more to software and technology

Why not have front facing speakers. Google get your heads together.

Don't understand why the big deal about bezels. I like having some bezel. I'm not to crazy about the square camera back, but I'll take that over the notch any day of the week.

If there's no camera bump, I won't mind.

Will be sticking with the pixel 3 next year, let's hope they get it right with the pixel 5

Awe poor Dan, hope you feel better soon, 😷🤧 Do you know I'm very tempted to try the Google Pixel 4xl, I think I preferred the notch tbh though! I guess what you lose on design, you gain on the new technology, maybe. I'm going to watch the progress with this phone. I love Huawei Dan, P30 Pro best phone I've ever had, but if no Google updates next year I can't see upgrading is going to be any use to me. Great video, now you look after yourself, try hot lemon and honey drinks Dan, fresh lemon and proper raw honey, .Manuka honey is good taken off the spoon 20+ strength upwards though, it has antibiotic effect. 👍🏻🙏🏻❤️xx

My thoughts.. 3D gestures without touching the screen will be amazing benifit for photography. Less movement in shot when we aren't touching the device to capture. Just a thought for how I'd like to use it. Hopefully makes sense?

I strongly believe that Google will be using Project Soli not so much for gesture navigation, but for facial recognition. The radar used in project soli is one of the most advanced, radars in the world. It is so powerful, it can actually detect the difference between the peeks and valleys of your skin's pores, or count the number of cards in a stack, or determine shapes and textures. I believe Google will be implementing this radar with the AI of Google lens to make the most secure facial recognition system in the world, even more powerful and secure than Apple's Face ID. Another reason I believe this is coming is the lack of the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. I also don't believe Google will place an "in-screen fingerprint sensor" on the Pixel 4. I believe instead it will be a fingerprint reader in a capacitive power button. It'll be interesting to see if my predictions are correct.

Very interesting, love all additional facts you give in your videos ☺️👍
And i dont care about the top bezel, og for that matter the button bezel, og it gives some nice features.
I dont really like the pop up camera, the nutch or the pin hole, that some smartphone have 😉

Thanks for your videos ☺️

I'm still rocking my Pixel 2. I want to upgrade since I do enjoy the software experience... But dang I might end up switching. I hate compromising when I'm shelling out so much money.

Soli radar will allow air gestures, for example to control music without switching apps. It will also assist in face unlock functionality. Not only can it determine the distance to an object, making a ToF sensor unneeded, but it also can scan solid and soft objects (like our faces) slightly under the surface. It will be able to detect your face under a beard, or under a scarf. It will help the regular and infrared cameras understand that it is indeed a human face in front of it, but not a photo print nor a mask. It will do it by measuring under-surface radiowaves scattering. It will be able to detect gestures such as eye winks, smile etc. Perhaps, even determine the direction of your glance, because the eye is not a perfect sphere, and it has an outstanding bump right around the pupil (for a lack of word, excuse my English, I'm typing on my phone now). Next, it will allow you to enter text with lip-reading. You won't have to pronounce words, instead you will be able to move lips silently. This will help to save some privacy, and will be useful in loud places like concerts and metro. Also, I think it will be able to read and translate sign language. But it depends on the range and angle width. Early demos stated soli distance up to 15 meters, but that was in a smart home device, not a mobile phone.

Had a Galaxy before the Pixel and liked it but at that time the Pixel had a better camera. I like both - I have a pixel 2 now and it's time for a new one. Based on what we know about the Pixel 4 so far and the Galaxy S10 5g...Would you get the Galaxy now or wait for the Pixel 4 release?

i dont mind the top and bottom bezels for features, like front firing speakers, or dual cameras.. or soli like tech

Nice video man.
If only Google could hire one good designer for their phones.

From where I stand, SOLI will never be cancelled. I do agree that SOLI will be better implemented in a smart watch rather than a smart phone
