This razor is truly the best in it's price class. Probably the best cheapest razor you can find.
It's a no nonsense, getting the job done razor and easily outperformes way more expensive razors.
I switched from the Butterfly style Wilkinson to this and was surprised by how much better it is, especially at this price point!

Definitely the best choice for a beginner.

1st time user of a safety razor with a sensitive skin here. Was considering trying more fancy razors but saw this video and decided to give it a go. Got a kit in Mexico for about 20 bucks with the Lord 122, brush, bowl, soap tab and 10 blades.

I did a lousy job with the lathering so the soap coat was kind of thin, no pre stuff besides taking a shower. Was afraid of cutting myself but to my surprise the razor glided so gracefully I was doubting I was doing it well. Rinsed my face and noticed it took away almost all of my 5 o' clock shadow. Gave it a second pass for the neck and under the nose and ended up with a buttcheek smooth result, best shave I had in years, much better than my Phillips electric and any cartridge razor I can remember. Not a single nick or burn.

Thanks a lot for this video and I can't recommend this razor enough for anyone who wants to try into safety razor shaving and don't want to spend that much.

I know this video is a little older, but I'm newer to traditional wet shaving. I shave my head and around my neck keeping my beard intact. Been using a Van Der Hagen razor for the past year or so. Don't have any complaints with it, but wanted to try a 3-piece razor without spending a whole bunch. Just ordered one of these along with a blade sample pack for less than $15. Hard to beat. Excited to trying a new razor and some new blades. Appreciate your review of this product.

well today I used for the first time my L125 lord razor and surprise, the razor is not mild, for me it is around level 4, since I have another Lord razor ( older ) and in order to make the L125 milder I did file the surface of the base plate until obtaining a lesser space between base and top blade, tomorrow will do again an other shave expecting that this time the shave should be milder, saludos robert

Great review. For the price, this is possibly the best-value and best-performing DE safety razor on the market, anywhere. Great for beginners and experienced shavers. The head is very similar to a Merkur 34 too!

I usually use stainless steel razors, so when I switch to a lighter weight razor on occasion, it generally requires a slight adjustment on my part, while not overcompensating too much for the lighter feel of the razor. yesterday I bought on amazon the Lord L125, suposing this is the one from yr video, I have an other Lord razor, much cheaper, only 2, 5 dollar here in Mexico ( well it was 2 years ago ), and that razor is very very mild, so I am expecting the same mildness from the L125, I saw that some people are saying that the razor got broken etc, my cheap razor is doing very well, maybe using to much force when putting on the handle, I don't have any problem, also the blades from Lord are mild, I have the red, green and white-blue ones, very cheap and can do around 4 shaves with each blade ( the problem is that in my humble den I have some 2500 blades ( 21 different brand names ) so I have blades for approx 27 years ( 2500 x 4 / 365 ) haha, and my age is 73, maybe I will use only 20 % of my stock haha and still buying, greetings from Mexico, your today video was great, robert

The Lord is indeed very light. For those beginners who want a heavier, shorter razor with similar performance the Baili BR171 3-piece is a good alternative.

The bottom of the handle makes it look like a butterfly razor. With a heavier handle this would be excellent. I started wet shaving with an inexpensive Wilkinson DE razor, got hooked, then tried a Parker and a Viking, and I just ordered a Merkur 34C (finally). I watch a lot of shave videos and yours are the most informative.

The on-video commentary about stability reports done on Amazon may make the viewers wonder too. Some double age razor users with the right kind of experience may know to avoid over-tighening the head to handle.

among my collection of rasors there is a lord one, very cheap here in Mexico, and using this one with lord blades the results are great, that means that it is not necessary to buy expensive rasors, also cheap ones are doing the job very well .This lord rasor is very mild . greetings robert

That razor reminds me of a budget razor I bought, the yingjili tech clone. Great blade alignment and a nice mild shave!

Great video. I use the L6 almost daily, with a lord platinum.. Gives me a shave like the r3 plate on my 6c. Ccs. Great razor for $6.

Mark, entertaining video. I would guess you would have to use more pressure with that light razor. I don't think I would use it as my everyday razor. Stay healthy and a great job again.
