Nice. I find that about $199 can get you the toppest of the top of the line as far as performance goes (Babyliss Pro Rapido, Parlux 385 Powerlight, Elchim, and Shark all fall into that price range and I think are incredibly close competitors which are noticeably better and faster than dryers around the $100 mark). I think with the Dyson the extra two hundred bucks kind of bought innovation and some "cool factor" which I certainly believe is worth it to some (and a rip off to others)-- but the performance wasn't twice as good (or any better at all) compared to a $199 dryer... Today with other interesting dryers hitting the market ands the Dyson aging, I think the spread for the Dyson is becoming less and less worth it overall. They need to innovate again if they want to keep their sales up.

I always thought $400 for a blow drier was absurd, and now to hear that dyson is unreliable and you were about to be on your fourth one, definitely going with this new blow drier when it comes out

Can you address the petrolatum (pvp) that your company uses in your hair products. Professionals of cosmetology suggest that it is bad for your hair it makes it dry and it does not let your hair go through the natural process that it normally does and it blocks it. Then they list multiple reasons on why it is bad I want to know your take on it and what are your thoughts because I want to buy ur products but I found reviews of people who were causing concerns?

I just got this and on the warning label it says it exceeds the safe amount of lead in both the motor and heater. Isn’t this a bad thing?

My Dyson only lasted 3 yrs in the salon part time. I was hoping someone would make a 2000watt version of the Dyson. The Gamma IQ perfetto, I had high hopes for. The nozzle is awesome, super skinny and wide. It seemed to be a better version of the Dyson but, I heard complaints of it breaking after 2 weeks, the plastic being junk and melting, the nozzles not staying on over time etc.... So I decided against it. At least until they make it better. For $400. they should've been using higher quality parts, not cheap plastic. As a stylist, I wish I could design a blowdryer for these companies. We use them daily and know what's good and what's crap.

Thanks for the review, it does look like a much better deal than the unreliable Dyson...
I wonder how does these high-end blowdryers compare against a much cheaper options like this one I got from Amazon for literally $40 (for the travel size, the full size is even cheaper at $25!) and is working great as far as I can tell... What aspects make these high end products better in real life usage?
