5 Hacks to Make Your Base Better | Astroneer Guide

An Astroneer base can ALWAYS be improved! That's why I've decided to share these 5 Astroneer base hacks with you guys!

You can use a power cell to power your base lighting. Find them for free on debris, and as the lights don't actually draw power they last forever. That way you don't even need to connect the tall platforms to a power supply.
Large Storage items, or Large Storage Silo A or B will allow you to put more medium wind turbines or medium solar panels or medium batteries on one platform.

As far as automating: best time saver i ever did was a automating common platforms, storage, auto arms, and medium batteries. It saves so much time when doing big builds.

I like your base but I lacks scale lol I use the XL platforms and set 3 of a single thing ( 3 chemistry labs, atmosphere condenser or 3 soil centrifuges) Also ditch the smelting furnaces and opt instead for the portable smelting furnace. You can fit 24 of them into a single silo and it take only 1 medium slot instead of 1 large tier slot and you get 24x the output burn rate

Soil centrifuge is better than scrap for compound, resin, and clay. This is in terms of resources per full canister of soil.

You could get your entire power area on on one XL platform C using some extra large storage silos

i recommend turning down ambient sound for videos to make the wind silent on glacio

Extenders no longer connect that way. Power/oxygen flow are unidirectional. We can see that with the yellow chaser arrows on the connections. To get unlimited flow, use Medium Platform A's as "extenders", and bury them.

When you have the train station, obviously rails n rail car you can make an astronium farm gettin ore from the planet core automatically, and If you want more you put arms grabing the astronium, making scrap, trading and finally storage
