Watch video of Pancho Gonzalez or Rod Laver because they learned to serve when you had to keep one foot on the ground. The rule was changed around 1960 or 1961 to allow both feet to leave the ground and the modern serve followed. Servers from the 1950s and early 1960s stepped up and in to the contact point and hit over 100 mph with no problem. Gonzalez was a great server.

Great video, thanks for sharing the tips. Properly warming up is applicable to all sports (e.g. golf), but especially tennis and the serve.

Roger's "soft" serve is still pretty fast. I notice Roger works on easy swings at the top of his reach to maximize his serve effectiveness.
