JRPGs are some of my favorite games. I wasted so much of my childhood playing through every JRPG for every platform. The Legend of Dragoon, Jade Cocoon, Breath of Fire IV, Final Fantasy VIII, Golden Sun, Chrono Trigger, Suikoden II, Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.
Some of my favorite games were released so many decades ago that most people don't even recognize them anymore. And while the frequency with which JRPGs are now released is substantially slower than in the past, there is still a lot of very impressive looking titles on the horizon.
And that's what we're here to talk about today: Every upcoming JRPG that I'm looking forward to in 2022. Games that will 100% be releasing this year, that will be filled with our favorite Waifu's, Husbando's, and some of the best Anime visuals in the genre.

Soul hackers 2 is actually a spinoff to the Shin Megami Tensei series along with persona.

I'm pretty excited for the Live A Live HD-2D remake we are getting in July too, along with the Front Mission 1 remake this summer sometime - I've never played a translated version of the SNES edition of Live A Live, and had always wanted it to come out here in the West, along with a bunch of other Squaresoft titles we never got (Bahamut Lagoon, Treasure Hunter G, Treasure of the Rudras, Racing Lagoon, etc.) - I'm hoping that these will succeed, so we will get more of these games officially released that we missed out on slowly but surely coming over here for Westerners to experience.

Oh yeah - also excited for Valkyrie Elysium later this year too sometime, on top of what you already mentioned in the video :)

I had no idea i would find another fan of Suikoden. You have good taste in games because playing the first two entries is nothing short of a magical experience.

Let's hope that it's spiritual successor, Eiyuden Chronicle fares as well as the original series (but it should, judging by the huge Kickstarter success for the game there are a lot of people eagerly awaiting this revival).

just want to mention that Soul Hackers and the Persona series are spin offs of the Shin Megami Tensei series which is why they have things in common like demons/personas. the latest entry in the SMT series is on the switch if you're interested! it's sooo good!

Yall noticed how fast that climbing stamina depletes in 7 sins origin? How does that make sense? When the characters are monstrously powerful but cant climb a rock. VOTE no stamina bar!

Star Ocean till the end of time is one of my most favorite too, especially with small minor heroin selection in it.... Maria best girl!

i personally play as Maria the moment she's join the party and her game play is a blast!!
