Stone Isolation Platform for Turntable DIY for $10

In this video I will show you how I made a stone Isolation platform (base, plate) for my record turntable (vinyl). I used a man-made marble plate from counter-top shop's scrap and tennis balls. I spent $10 for the whole project. The platform works great!
It is high end and it is cheap. Do it yourself for $10. It reduces turntable vibration significantly.

Looks super nice. Great work. I use slate platforms under my devices. Really affordable and great results. Bring‘s out more detail, tighter bass, more clarity. And slate looks also fine.

If you have access to cast off stone thats a great idea.

Years ago I built a platform using a 3" thick maple cutting board and some 2" sorbothane hemispheres. I would have used granite but could not afford what they asked for it in my home town. The $40 12x18 cutting board was pricey but the improvement in my RP3 was worth the price.

I can't believe you found scrap marble just lying around like that. Here, they would have been kept by the contractors for future uses or sales.

LOL, yeah $10 because we all have CNC lathes in our basements or workshops and secondly, it we picked through the dumpster here in the US we would be arrested
