Question about loud click when you release the trigger? Is this normal? I just bought the XR POWER DETECT DCD 998 Hammer drill version from Lowes. It has the same noise like a loud metal click when you release the trigger. Only in speeds 2 and 3. Makes no difference in forward or reverse or any clutch setting. Same noise in hammer, drill or screw modes. It matches a quick stop to the chuck, so is it a brake? Why so loud? If its a brake, its the loudest one I've heard.

I bought this drill 2 weeks ago and within the first week I had to get 2 replacements because 1 did not work at all and the second one would not hold a drill bit. DeWALT has failed to comment on my issues as well.

Uses saw... okay tape isn't very tough. HAHAHA I was dying. I would do something silly like that too and use a saw
