I don't get why people are complaining about this . . .
I LOVED going to Sears as a kid. But the building is not only an eyesore, its taking-up space for _nothing._ Okay, you could put a PARK there for everyone. But that older woman saying that (paraphrasing) she is WORRIED about the complex being built; will it be for "Low Income" housing . . . . Its FREAKING California!!! Each of those units are going to cost from $1800 to over $2000 (<- more likely). That's more than peoples Home "Mortgages" and really, you people are worried about "Parking"? That complex will be self-contained, and it may even bring more shops so you don't have to congest the freeways going _farther_ to shop. But you folks should be complaining how housing costs are INSANE here in all parts of California . . . unless you want to live in sketchy to dangerous parts of Metropolitan Los Angeles or San Bernardino for cheap! And anything that needs to be built is going to be "noisy" for just a few months . . . and then you get to enjoy new shops, restaurants, and those that can afford a ridiculously priced modern Apartment. This has also happened in Montclair Calif. (close to the edge of LA county) around the Montclair Mall, and the neighborhoods look nicer, but still, the apt's cost a small fortune.

- Note; I have lived by the Railroad yard around Pomona's Art Colony (which now has Commuter Trains), and Westchester right under the Flight path of LAX, including neighborhoods close to construction sites of apartment complexes and new homes.

At least the space will be more useful than as it is now. Also would this help with the shortage of homes for Angelinos. To build new things the old has to go.

They can look forward to plenty of noise during construction Limited parking plenty of construction debris and trash and when it’s all settled and done it will be more stoplights more stop signs and less parking for everyone in the neighborhood as a result

Sounds like gentrification. If so housing costs will skyrocket. End up like downtown San Francisco. But.... maybe it's a responsible reasonable future. Affordable for regular people. Many blessings ya'll.

That many apts is not a great idea for that intersection. It’s going to create a traffic mess. People will invade the neighborhoods with parking. Theres already many homes in that area and it’s already crowded. Plus what $2500 1 bedroom apts isn’t helping the community. They need a new Mayor and City Council.
