I use them to make leaf mold, feed to my worm bins and make compost too.

That is such a great idea. My chicken run has huge trees that provide wonderful shade, however that makes it difficult to make chicken compost because branches and twigs are always falling and the litter is full of them. They don’t break down so we have to go to the hassle of separating them.
