I don't understand why there's so much salt here. This is supposed to be a small mini-game. Another one of Miyamoto's Gamepad projects; you can avoid it if you want to.
A friend of mine is reviewing the game for Nintendo Enthusiast and he's been loving it so far.

I'm pretty sure the majority of the people complaining about this is way older then the audience this game is focusing and none of them are even considering that Nintendo wants to keep their audience family friendly and focus games based on that audience.

The player character should be a Sprixie from Super Mario 3D World. Her personality would be tomboyish, and she has a shirt and overalls.
