Restoration abandoned Very old and very damaged Jawa CZ 175 motorcycle 175cc. 2-stroke engine repair.

I had a 1962 CZ 175-470 Sport, until I sold it in 2005. I installed the complete front suspension, brakes & wheel from a CZ 175-477. I also installed a 1970's CZ flat top headlight with speedometer.

When I was a child, my elder brother had exact same motorcycle. He painted it red by himself. I remember the sound, looks of this motorcycle.
I was too young to drive back then.

What an incredible stroke of luck that this man, proficient at doing up old motorcycles just happened to spot this man pushing his motorcycle past his house to the dump.
Also Incredibly lucky that a friend happened to be there to film it for the internet.
Incredibly lucky that the engine needed no work done, and they knew it was ok without dismanteling it.
I resored a 1951 Royal Enfield 250 model S, so they have my admiration and respect nevertheless.

Парни отлично! Сам купил в ноябре Ява 250/559 1963 г. На ходу, в родной комплектации и нормальном состоянии. На счет реставрации подумаю, может только двигатель. Хотел на Английском написать, но пятница у нас, уже сложно и много времени займет, для меня и друзей😊

it's a good cleanup, and I doubt it was abandoned, it was just wiped over with a muddy sponge....but nice end result

Ну... Если его изначально отмыть от того что его глиной намазали, он бы выглядел относительно нормально... Да молодца немного подшаманиди и в бой, наверное не знают как работают настоящие реставраторы старых вещей и техники

This bike is a CZ 175-450 (16 inch wheels). In 1962 the slightly faster CZ 175-470 Sport (19 inch wheels) was added to the 175 range. Both were rated at 10 HP.

In 1968, both were replaced by the (then) more modern & better handling CZ 175-477 Sport (14.5 HP).
