India has a jet engine intake on its flag, so what are you expecting?

Another advantage for India's airlines is their ability to fly over Russia. This allows for shorter routes, cheaper tickets, and no competition from western airlines on these routes for a probably long time.

Your big fan from India❤. I was 33 when I travelled by air for the first time. My son was 12, and my grand daughter a few days old, when their turn came. India is changing.

Hello Petter,
Can I add few statistics of IndiGo please...
1. It operates over 2200 flights daily which is possibly 7th highest in the world..
2. It carried over 100 million passengers in a Calendar year... Less than a handful of Airlines carry as many..
3. Market capitalisation of IndiGo is only next to Delta Airlines & Ryan Air..
4. Its clean safety record in its 18 years of operations
Only less than 5% Indians fly which is not even a fraction of what developed world statistics is... So Indian aviation is still in its infancy...It's indeed poised for robust growth...

Once these aircraft are delivered, the competition with middle east airlines (emirates, qatar....) will heat up. Emirates uses a hub and spoke to get a large set of international travel passengers from india. These indian airlines will now provide point to point for indian passengers from the local cities.

IndiGo Cadet Pilot here,
Firstly an amazing video like always!

To answer some questions within my knowledge,

1. To combat pilot shortage IndiGo has opened up Cadet Pilot Programs with around 9 different FTOs across the world and I can vouch that the intake for these programs are staggeringly high.

2. IndiGo has started operating with its new business class offerings and I’m sure they will integrate it in their long haul A350s too, slowly shifting into a full service airline.

3. Airbus has opened up a new HQ for India and South Asia at Delhi Airport which shows potential for in-country manufacturing or assembly plants in the near future.

Again, an amazing video, very informative like always, you’re an inspiration ❤

You didn't cover the main point which is that most Indian LCC carriers have their fleet in a lease and sale back model. The first set of Indigo a320 neos which they ordered are already being sent back to their lessors, making them operate Newer, more fuel efficient aircraft. The fleet size of Indigo will never cross 600, by analysts estimates

I am an aviation enthusiast now. I proudly say I was in the team who received the very first aircraft of IndiGo on Delhi airport back in year 2006. Love your videos. Just one thing at 2:55 the map of India is incorrect.

This is happening across ALL industries in India. Everyone is preparing for an exponential robust growth in the next decade or two. Hoping it all goes as planned.

Interestingly, India also has a record number of unemployed pilots, the pilot shortage refers to senior pilots, commanders, TRI and TRE's. There are PLENTY of First officers.
