I already have light burn. Looking into getting the new fiber laser for my collection. OMTech 20W Fiber Laser Engraver, LightBurn do you have anything more current than one year? Just wanna know the general settings and how to get started with this one in Lightburn. My budget doesn't occur for anything anymore. At this time.

Great video but even if I have a Lightburn licence for my diode laser I need to pay quite a lot for the galvo driver! A bit anoying but I will have to do it since EZcad is a big no for me.

ok I did as you stated. I had to reinstall lightburn.. I use it with my co2 laser. I have had lightburn for a few years now I went to lightburn and devices and searched for my fiber laser. When I reinstalled it, it is then that I was able to add the ezcad2 set up drivers to lightburn. But it wouldn't let me go further because it kept saying I needed to upgrade my licenses for ezcade2. but it wouldn't show me where to go to do it when I clicked on it to do so.. It just closed that part of the device set up. Then I went to my ezcad2 which I had my fiber laser set up to run off the last few years. It was now in demo mode only. I have a gaming laptop that runs both lasers at the sametime by the way. Then I had to figure out how to fix the ezcad2 problem. Lightburn never stopped running my co2 laser. I ended up having to ROLL BACK the drivers for the ezcad2 drivers. I can't find anything on what I need to do to get it to accept the license. The license with ezcad2 is you just turn on the machine.. The program detects it.. It works.. As long as that driver is in your computer. My old dongle that came with my laser died. I don't know why tho lol..

Note: My lightburn has a license. But we don't get a license with ezcad2. I have a Chinese 30watt fiber laser and a 60watt co2 laser

Your set up you talk about is for a fresh version of lighburn. I was wanting to have lightburn able to run my fiber and my co2.. Not at the same time tho. If I was doing that I'd just have both programs open. I have learned tho. You do not minimize ezcad2 and go to another program, or even a browser while it is in the middle of lasering something. Lightburn you can do that. But the ezcad2 program locks up when you go back to it and you have no access to it.. You have to turn off your laser machines motherboard for a split second and turn it back on.. then the program will unlock. So to use both programs, you start lightburn lasering first, and then go to ezcad2 to do what you're doing there.. Or do split screen with both programs..

Would you know the reason why when I hit “start” it does nothing? It just traces the lines of my designs but does nothing as far as engraving.

Yeah but no. If Lightburn would automatically find my laser, I wouldn't be here watching your video. So it didn't, i need to add it manually, and this isn't helpful.
