Protect Your Pipes | How to Dispose of Cooking Oil

As you prepare to cook and fry more in the coder months, remember that cooking oil and grease can clog pipes. Even small amounts down the drain build up in the pipes and cause backups.

There are many different ways we use oil for cooking, including pan frying and deep frying. To prevent clogged pipes, follow these simple steps to recycle large amounts of oil (not grease):

-First, let the oil cool
-Next, pour the cooled oil into a plastic jug and close the lid tightly
-Place it next to your recycling cart on your next collection day
