My issue with the jimmy fallon thing is this: It was in 2000. That's 20 years ago now. That episode isn't even airing anymore, so that means the person who found it, and was offended by it, had to specifically look for it.
This sounds more like a witch hunt. "Hrm... I don't like Jimmy Fallon, I wonder if there's anything in his past I can use to destroy his career? Oh look, he played a black actor 20 years ago, this is perfect!"
Queue 'outrage' and 'being offended' while they call for the man to lose his job and have his life destroyed.

They didn’t make any attempt to stifle free speech, but they did hold him accountable for promoting misleading information. On top of that, they provided resources to ensure users were protected against the content of the tweet. I think Twitter made the right move
