Company culture is so important. I really like the book "The Ideal Team Player" to help with company culture. However, I think it is very hard to change people. I think better bets is putting people in place that fit the culture you want. Specifically putting people in places of leadership that fit the culture you want. It is something that may take time to adjust, but overtime, anything is possible.

Let good leaders influence you and you will be guided accordingly. But there's no such thing as a perfect leader, just follow and pick up the good traits, and disregard what you think is inappropriate.

Our language used to describe other human beings shows us how messed up humanity really is: 'subordinate'. Sub: meaning “under, ” “below, ” “beneath” Ordinate(Verb) to align a series of objects.
"An object beneath me." Isn't that just how much of humanity both thinks and acts out?
