If you think population is the only determinant to Nominal GDP growth, then yeah this chart is accurate. Other than that, this growth is EXTREMELY optimistic and doesn’t take into consideration other trends.

The issue with predictions of economic growth is that they rely heavily on current growth trends. These trends hardly ever take into consideration the crisis that can happen, interest hikes and the rise of inflation, wars, and many more factors. These charts and predictions have been made for decades and always make mistakes. Even with this chart being a year old, it fails to predict japans economic decline, and it’s fall to the 4th largest economy by nominal GDP. We've also seen many older predictions be wrong. In the 90s, japan was supposed to surpass the US. It never did. In the 40s, we never expected the fall of empires and the british decline or the rise of Germany and Japan within the west. For decades, We've been expecting the USA to drop out of its first place spot when it comes to nominal GDP, which it never has.
