Wednesday Night Bible Study | May 31st, 2023

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 5:1-2 discussing justification by faith, where the believer can stand in the grace, goodness, joy and peace of God. Brother Swaggart begins with a question to the panel, would David have died saved or lost, had he died before repenting of murder and adultery? Know this, we do not stand before God in our own condition, but we are standing in the finished work of Christ. Christ died for all. We are justified by faith alone not by what we do, but by what we believe. Brother Smith says God knew David’s heart; God knew David would repent. We must press on to our calling in Christ Jesus. We are saved by grace; we are a new creation in Christ Jesus. God doesn’t save us in sin, but saves us to bring us out of sin. While there is no sinless perfection, God puts a desire in every believer to see regeneration in our lives, and sin shall no longer have dominion over us.

HAD DAVID NOT REPENTED BEFORE HE DIED…Knowing that
God doesn’t make any exceptions,

DAVID WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN SAVED….Why, specifically in the
Law of Moses: “you SHALL NOT
KILL, you SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.

Pretty clear!!!

But the truth is this: God came quickly to rescue David by sending the prophet in order to expose David’s sins and to explore the state of his heart.
David succeeded both tests: the righteousness of God was manifest in his heart as the prophet showcase a story. And as the prophet explores his sins, David humbles himself before God.

HAD GOD NOT SENT THE PROPHET TO DAVID, what would have happened to him? WE DON’T KNOW FOR SURE.
But we do know that there has been no evidence of a repented heart from David until the prophet visited him.

idk what Pastor Jimmy, Gabriel, and Joseph was saying first Joseph started of saying random stuff that had no context and he didn't even know what he was saying because when jimmy repeated what Joseph said back to him Joseph said "no no I meant this...." and he still was continuing to say the wrong things. Now what I am saying is no one can take away your salvation but yourself, if you continue to sin, sin, and sin without repenting and if you do God forbid drop dead you are certainly not going to heaven because God said I rather have you hot or cold but I will spit you out if you're Luke warm and what are Lukewarm christians they are christians who say they believe in Jesus but doesn't follow his commandments and continue to live the life of sin because they believe they will always remain justified even while in the mist of there own sin. If that's the case what happened to free will, we don't lose our free will when we're saved we are called to do the will of God but we do have a choice whether to do it or not. And im not saying this to scare yall but to warn you guys about the doctrine of onced saved always saved and Pastor John and Dupri said it perfectly. David would not have been chosen to be the blood line of our lord Jesus Christ if he did not repent because God is the one who puts kings and take down kings, which means God would have found another servant of his just like he did to the king before David.
