In 1997 I worked for a "We are going WOKE Corporation" and they stated their DEI program. 2 Months later, an IT tech hired under DEI mixed up data backup tapes which deleted 1-1/2 days of Yellow page ad production which cost the company $125K in redo work. Instead of firing this DEI hired employee, they fired our Department head who never hired this IT DEI employee in the first place. I quit six months later and never worked a Corp job ever again.

I'm a PC Repair Tech by trade now a stay-at-home homeschooling mom. Any good IT person should know not to immediately update/upgrade software or hardware until it's been out for a while so it can be real-life tested.... just for this very reason. Garbage reason and garbage situations.
