No ya this makes sense for a short track, long story short electric vehicles get faster power outputs due to the response time of electricity being faster than the small explosion that occurs in a combustion engine.
Electric cars also have less moving parts so there's less kinetic energy meaning more power can be distributed at once which is why it takes off faster.
That all being said combustion engines are more reliable hands down and easier to fix, also though the electric car can absolutely smoke a fast sports car on a track with a lot of tight turns it can not win on a mostly straight track.

Yea any race where they get over 120ish, MAYBE 140, and the Lambo destroys the tesla. Every time. They have grunt but no top end.
