The recording angle is somewhat weird, but it was still better than being down on the floor. Unfortunately, there were no rails in front of the stage, so there was no other option but to seek a place above the audience.

Der Aufnahmewinkel ist etwas seltsam, aber es war trotzdem besser, als auf dem Boden zu sein. Leider gab es keine Absperrungen vor der Bühne, sodass es keine andere Möglichkeit gab, als einen Platz über dem Publikum zu suchen.

Gosh, had I known that it would be watched by so many, I would have tried even harder. Still happy, though, that that current of hand-numbing cold air blowing right upon me during the whole show did not make me drop the phone.

Thanks for the video. It's hard to believe you filmed this handheld with your phone - it looks steady like it was a camera on a tripod. I wasn't able to bring a tripod into the Toronto show, but was allowed to film handheld with my Panasonic X2000 camcorder from near the stage. The style of filming is quite different - I like to zoom in close and try to underline the action of the performers. My film style has changed over the years. On my tripod I have a Manfrotto 502 fluid head which allows one to do nice smooth pans. Getting one was a tip from a media profi friend - you'll never regret getting one except for the weight to lug it around - I think the newer Manfrotto fluid heads are lighter. Bringing in that kind of gear - I try to ask ahead of time and get permission, but was not able get through to anyone before the show unfortunately, otherwise my filming would have been much more professional. With a phone you can get it into any event. I am glad they allowed my camcorder. I posted their social media links as well.
Good that there is more recent film footage of Faun on YouTube, but very little from earlier years, like the Luna Tour and many other shows from previous years, were not often filmed in good quality, and not often the whole show - at least as far as I have been able to find, which is very unfortunate. It was amazing to see them in Toronto on their first North American tour in 2024. Faun-tastisch ! You are lucky in Europe to be able to see them more often. Filming Faun is like a dream. They have great energy.

Faun - Pagan Folk Tour 2024 - Toronto show - each song is a separate video in a playlist - sorry for the shaky video at times, but it was handheld in the middle of a crowd and I had to hold my camera up high, struggling with arm cramps, but I still made it through. I never filmed a whole concert like that before. Some parts of it came out very well, and it is not bad at least in general. Maybe it isn't perfect, but it is still OK I think and my small contribution to support their creativity. It was my first time filming Faun - something I wanted to do very much for a long time. It was like the Gods were helping a bit as well. Not so many views so far, but it will have a lasting interest over many years I think.
