With national parks across the country closed due to the government shutdown, five states have decided to fund them directly in order to reopen them and reduce losses in tourism revenue. The states hope to be reimbursed, but some fear the plan could set a dangerous precedent. Vinita Nair reports.

I think it's setting the "dangerous" precedent that we just may not need a federal government as much as we would be led to believe.
